Who we are:
The Women’s Fund is a component of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin and we share the mission of matching personal philanthropy with community need. The Women’s Fund focuses on the needs of women and girls of Rock County, Wisconsin.
How we use Status of Women in the States:
When the first Status of Women in the States report was released, we used it as a framework for a complementary report – The Status of Women in Rock County – which was used by many nonprofit organizations and municipalities as a resource for grant writing. The Women’s Fund also used our Rock County report to provide the focus of our own grant making.
We will use the newest Status of Women in the States report in the same way. We can point to where we have made progress and if the needs of women have shifted or changed since the last report was released.
Audience members listen as a panel of community professionals shares expertise and insight on the challenges facing women and girls in Rock County. The Women’s Winter Series, presented by the Women’s Fund of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, is hosting three free community forums to initiate conversations about health and well-being, finances, and education.
