Women are routinely underrepresented in America’s political landscape, and Utah County is no exception.

Of the elected positions in Utah County, including city councils, mayors and county officials, only about 14 percent are filled by women.

Out of the 50 states, the study ranks Utah 45th based on the number of women in the state legislature.
