Reports from the Institute for Women’s Policy Research and WalletHub both quote statistics that show women in Texas are paid less than men for the same job, are more likely to be uninsured and have little or no access to paid time off or family leave from their jobs.Ariane Hegewisch, director of the Washington, D.C.-based institute’s Employment and Earnings Program, said women in Texas, particularly blacks and Hispanics, face an uphill battle in their work and family lives.
